VCDC, Vishaan Chakrabarti Design Collaborative, is an urban design and strategic advisory firm located in Manhattan. The firm is dedicated to the advancement of dense, sustainable cities that promote economic, cultural and design innovation. VCDC’s current clients include Moynihan Station Venture – a joint venture between the Related Companies and Vornado Realty Trust – which is dedicated to the transformation of the James A. Farley Post Office into an expansion of Pennsylvania Station, as well as major educational institutions, developers, and land owners. The firm provides both master planning and strategic development advice as clients guide their projects through project formation, design, land planning, and entitlements. Led by Vishaan Chakrabarti, a faculty member at Columbia University with over two decades of experience in the public and private sectors, the firm has the ability to tailor project teams in accordance with specific client needs. VCDC is a registered Limited Liability Corporation in the State of New York. VCDC is in the process for registering as a Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE), which should be complete by the fall of 2010.
